Classification and Application of Hexagonal Wire Mesh
Hexagonal wire mesh is a type of wire mesh created from metal wires woven into a hexagonal structure. The diameter of the metal wires utilized varies depending on the size of the hexagonal shape. For metal wire hexagons with a galvanized coating, wire diameters range from 0.3mm to 2.0mm. In the case of PVC-coated metal wire woven hexagonal wire mesh, the PVC (metal) wires have outer diameters ranging from 0.8mm to 2.6mm. The wires are twisted and braided into a hexagonal configuration, with the wires at the edge of the outer frame available in single, double, or movable side options.
Characteristics of Hexagonal Mesh:
(1) Easy to use; simply lay the mesh flat against the wall, using building cement if necessary.
(2) Easy to construct, requiring no special techniques.
(3) Exhibits strong resistance to natural damage, corrosion, and harsh weather conditions. It can be used in wall construction, application with building cement, and other structural uses.
(4) Capable of withstanding a significant range of deformation without collapsing. It additionally provides heat preservation and insulation functions.
(5) Excellent processing base ensures uniform plating thickness and enhanced corrosion resistance.
(6) Cost-effective in transportation; it can be compacted into small rolls and packaged in moisture-proof paper, minimizing space usage.
(7) Heavy hexagonal wire mesh is woven from high-quality low carbon steel wire galvanized with a large wire gauge. The tensile strength is no less than 38kg/m², with wire diameters ranging from 2.0mm to 3.2mm. Typically, the surface is protected with hot-dip galvanization, which can be tailored to customer specifications, reaching galvanization levels up to 300g/m².
(8) The galvanized wire hexagonal mesh features a PVC coating over the galvanized iron wire, contributing to its durability. The PVC not only significantly extends the mesh's lifespan but also allows for color choices, enabling integration with the surrounding environment.
Applications of Hexagonal Mesh:
Hexagonal wire mesh serves various purposes including the raising of chickens, ducks, geese, and rabbits, as well as the construction of zoo fences. It is also utilized for machinery and equipment protection, highway guardrails, stadium fences, and road greenbelt protection. Additionally, the mesh can be used to support civil engineering projects like seawalls, slopes, roads, bridges, and reservoirs. When fashioned into box-like containers and filled with rocks, it effectively acts as a flood prevention and resistance material.
